When Cerebral Palsy Alliance’s Research Foundation was established in 2005, thanks to a generous Gift in Will, the number of children born with cerebral palsy across Australia was around 1 in 400. Today, that number is around 1 in 700 children, an incredible drop of 40%. Thanks to research, the severity of cerebral palsy in Australian children has also dropped. Now 2 out of 3 children living with cerebral palsy can walk without assistive equipment and more than half do not have an intellectual disability. Cerebral Palsy Alliance is working hard to make changes through research, advocacy, intervention and assistive technology innovation. You can help us.
